At Deutsche Bank I am working as Android Lead Developer on the award-winning Mobile Apps for the private customers of Deutsche Bank and Norisbank. We develop both the apps for both brands natively on the same codebase following a scalable clean architecture approach supporting the delivery of multiple variants in an end2end continuous deployment process.I actively contributed to this project from the start since 3 years now. I was highly involved in successfully establishing a continuous integration pipeline to automatically build, test, quality-check, harden, archive and deploy the product. To ship another app for a second brand from the same codebase I was actively involved in modularising the app and introducing product-flavor(-dimension)s. As security plays a major role in banking I am focusing on security-topics like app-hardening and secure networking. Furthermore, to first raise and then maintain a high code-quality I patiently established static code-analysis (Sonarqube) in a lean approach.Additionally to this I am dedicated to apply, monitor and improve our Development-Process (Branching-Strategy, Code-Reviews, Agreements, Best-Practices) over the time. Having a strong process is especially important in a growing environment. In the last years we scaled from one Android team to 4 - all working on the same code-base - and now we are working in a cross functional feature-oriented approach with several teams composed of iOS-, Android-, Backend-Developers. Recruiting new developers is also one of my responsibilities. By constantly improving and executing our hiring-process together with my colleagues I try to attract the best developers for our projects.
