The Mission of The Violet Movement is to foster love, kindness and positive community change through transformative scholarships. This nonprofit is in honor of the memory of Violet Francoise Andrews. While her life was brief, it significantly impacted the lives of so many. We want to ensure that her spirit will continue to be felt.The Violet Movement will offer several different scholarship options for students in need that pay homage to our family’s passions and history. Violet’s legacy will live on through the accomplishments of these students.

Assists the City Administrator in the management, supervision, and review of activities and operations of the City; assists in directing, coordinating, and implementing the City's goals, objectives, and priorities; attends and participates in meetings and work sessions with the Mayor and City Council; assists in developing agenda items, background material, and presentations for the governing body; assists in goal setting, interdepartmental priorities, operations and policies of the city departments by managing departmental liaison and leadership activities and procedures. Sugar Hill, Ga, Us

Led downtown revitalization efforts serving as Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Secretary/Treasurer which spawned over $300 million dollars in downtown redevelopment and investment. Collaborates with consultants on traffic studies, void/retail leakage analysis, city master plans, hotel feasibility studies, greenway studies, and executes development agreements for projects ranging from full service hotels to mixed use commercial, and greenways to niche grocers. Exudes excellent communication skills by building relationships with the public, media, and the department oversight of website content, press releases, newsletters, video production, and social media. Orchestrates the largest municipal event series in Georgia with an event attendance and exposure increase of 31% from 2014 to 2015, and 404% from 2013 to 2016. Creates and facilitates on behalf of 14 City based interests groups ranging from public art to youth initiatives, and from historic preservation to professional development. Led the project management of the Suite Spot business incubator, which is the reutilization of the old City Hall building. This project also serves as a host site for several free business resources for business owners. Cofounded the Sugar Hill Business Alliance in 2014, which has become the largest group of its kind in the county. Writes and presents agenda items, proclamations and policies on behalf of the City at council meetings. Founded the Gwinnett Communications & Events Committee to create cohesion between the 16 local cities in Gwinnett County.

Temple Terrace, Florida, Us

Direct supervision of 5 recreation facilities, 15 parks, and nearly 60 staff members daily; departments range from fitness to athletics, facility rentals to customer service, and special interest classes to aquatics. Prepares division, capital outlays ($115K-$460K), and $3 million dollar operating budget for the department. Serves as representative for the City’s pension and contract negotiation team. Active involvement in the prebid, RFP, and selection process for parks, programs, and services. Plans, recommends, and implements policies, practices and procedures for the department which has resulted in 15% savings in facility use staffing costs. Facilitate and implement youth and adult athletic leagues and related programming. During my tenure the results have been in the form of a 100% increase in adult sports league revenues. Serves as the department’s liaison to several civic, interest, and non-profit organizations including; Kiwanis, Rotary, and the Chamber of Commerce. This relationship building has led to an increased awareness of our programs, resulting in a 15% increase in gym rentals. Serves as disaster management liaison and hurricane team captain.
