For the past 15 years, I have worked exclusively with human resource and payroll software applications. After graduating with a BS in Accounting from Troy State University, my wife and I moved to Tampa, Florida where I took a position with Sage Abra Software. After six months, I was promoted to sales and over the next 4.5 years I broke a large number of sales records for that organization. I left Abra and briefly worked with one of their value added resellers. Six months later, in October of 1998, I started my own value added reseller business and ran HR Pay 'n' Time, Inc. until October of 2008. We sold, supported, and implemented HR, payroll and time collection systems for Sage Abra, Ascentis, Visibility Software, Employee Based Systems and Tech Relief. When I sold the customers from HR Pay 'n' Time, Inc. in the fall of 2008, we had over 80 active clients. In the summer of 2007, I began looking online for additional HRIS systems to offer to my prospects. I could not find any sites that showed the level of expertise needed or detail to actually provide assistance to those searching for human resources software. As a direct result of that research, I created CompareHRIS.com, which was published in February of 2008. We now have 24 paying vendors and our site drives close to 10,000 visits per month.
