As Vice President of Program, I have led our team in the transition to online programming to support 3k+ students and young leaders globally. Our team rapidly responded to the pandemic to support through 100+ sessions in self-efficacy, goal setting and student voice, with 80% of young people participating reporting higher levels of motivation, success and happiness. I also oversee partnerships with 5 schools districts across the country, as well key partnerships like with The Kauffman Foundation to student district-wide what student-led education reform in the Kansas City area.

As a Dream Director of Innovation, I was served as a key member of the leadership team that transformed a public high school in New Haven, CT (HSC): graduation rates dropped and tardiness by 40%+, student leadership increased by 200%, and student enrollment grew from 220 to 300 in four years’ time. During this time, I worked with students and staff members, serving as the primary producer for 6 school-wide community events, 20 student clubs, and 20+ social justice themed workshops resulting in over 60% of students gaining rigorous leadership and project building skills annually. I was also a key contributor for tools and strategies for Dream Directors across the country, impacting 30k students, as well as serving as a facilitator for all national and regional events

As Chief Dream Director for the New Haven region, I managed a team of 8 staff members and several interns in fulfilling on 90+% of all yearly goals, ultimately impacting 6k students across our region and launching 50+ community annually. I also cultivated relationships with community stakeholders, news organizations, and philanthropists, resulting in recognition across the state and building programmatic capacity by 20% yearly.

As the Executive Director and Founder of Grinand Bare, I have collaborated with: The Obama Foundation in training 200+ community leaders to launch community service initiatives, New Haven Public Schools in integrating SEL programming into online community experiences for 3k+ K-12 students and families, and supported The Weaving Project in launching an international summit for student-led education reform. I also launched Men Up, a social justice initiative that has engaged ~2k people in redefining manhood through workshops and online content, as well as serve as the host of The Men Up Podcast.

As a founding member of The New Haven Company, I have served as a key contributor to the 4 stage productions annually, engaging ~3,000 community members and bringing in $10k+ annually. During this time, I have developed new plays as a writer, director and actor that have garnered regional recognition in excellence. I also served as the lead producer for Reel New Haven, a first of its kind short film festival that celebrated and cultivated New Haven talent in the industry.

Greater New York City Area

As a teaching artist with Opening Act, I led after-school performing arts and self-expression programs across NYC, with a particular focus on schools based in Manhattan. During this time, I collaborated with other teaching artists, educators, school administrators and students in creating a year-long experience that culminated in two community performances per year per school. I also facilitated training for students in collaboration with actors and industry professionals in support of Opening Act’s Gala, which was the primary fundraising initiative every year. I also worked with the Executive team to create powerful training for the 20+ teaching artists in the organization.

As the Communications Manager for RYASAP, my specific focus was on the creation and execution of the Mine.Yours.Ours initiative, which focused on working with young people to redefine healthy relationships through online and direct service programming. Through this work, I wrote, directed and produced 12+ short films and videos which gained national recognition; developed and managed a first of its kind AmeriCorp experience focused on bringing performing arts, specifically Shakespeare, into the twenty-first century for the greater Fairfield community engaging +1k community members, managed and trained a team of 15 AmeriCorps leaders, and served as the primary facilitator for student led content creation with a 10-person student team. I also served a primary facilitator and MC for the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation’s StartStrong annual conference, which brought together +300 students and community leaders across the country.

Hartford, Connecticut Area

As a Teaching Artist with Performing Arts Programs, I led after-school performing arts and self-expression programs across CT for ~100 young people, k-12, annually. I managed all relationships with students, parents, teachers and school leaders within a portfolio of 6 school communities yearly. I also served as the leader and primary facilitator for PAP’s summer intensive programming, which brought together young actors from across the state to collaborate with industry professional and create culminating performance for the greater Hartford community.

As a Project Manager with Carrot Creative, a pioneer in digital media and a first of its kind agency, I served as the primary manager of day-to-day client relations for a portfolio of ~10 clients. I collaborated with our team of executives and developers to create end-to-end social media strategies that cultivated communities online for clients ranging from small, local business to industry leaders like Major League Baseball and University of Rochester. Alongside our executive team, I helped to launch the DUMBO Digital District.
