Avidar's professional team is led by its President and CEO, Carl Shapiro, who has served as President of the Licensed Site Professionals Association and is currently a member of the Environmental Business Council’s Site Remediation and Redevelopment Leadership Team. He continues to play an important role in the development of environmental regulatory development in Massachusetts, and in the role of the Licensed Site Professional in site compliance, management and closure. Avidar’s President has also recently been instrumental in securing federal (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) and state (Massachusetts Leaking Underground Storage Tank Trust Fund) government funds for our clients in addressing environmental issues for several projects.

Serves on active Council with Presidents who previously served the LSPA (President 08-09), providing additional leadership and experience to this professional organization of Licensed Site Professionals and other professionals involved in the management of hazardous waste sites in Massachusetts. The LSPA works to help its membership achieve and maintain high standards of practice in overseeing the assessment and remediation of hazardous waste disposal sites through information and education.
