Assembling a complete medical database including health history, history of chief complaint, and physical examination upon patient admission of selected patients, and document the findings in the patient record.Consultation/collaboration with the physician supervisor/designee, diagnosing medical conditions and planning medical therapies and interventions based on the medical database. .Ordering medical consultations, therapies, and interventions including but not limited to, medications, diagnostic tests, respiratory care, nutrition, fluid and electrolyte support, blood and blood products. Performing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures based on the needs of the specific patient population such as suturing lacerations, removing sutures/skin staples, obtaining arterial blood sample and femoral venous blood sample, insertion of central venous catheters, insertion of radial artery catheters, insertion of chest tubes, arthrocentesis, application, modification of plaster splints, application, modification of traction, diagnostic bronchoscopy for ventilator associated pneumonia, performing ultrasound evaluation for assessment of internal injury, responding and managing immediate emergent situations “code blue”, etc.Evaluating and analyzing patients’ responses to traumatic injuries and therapeutic interventions, and determining the effectiveness of care and the need to alter the plan of care. Participating in medical and nursing research projects, including presenting and publishing the findingsTeaching and promoting practices to improve or maintain health to patients and family members, and othersCoordinate and arrange continuity of care for patients once discharge from hospital.Collaborate with other specialties on the plan of care for patients within the areas Evaluate and treat post trauma patients in the Nurse Practitioners Clinic
