Currently managing the Sentinel engineering support and sustainment contract valued at $77 million over 5 years for one of our most valued and important customers.  Responsibilities include providing programmatic leadership and support for the customer’s signature case management system.  Leading a team of 60+ engineers, I am responsible for the day-to-day activities across all spectrum of the organization to include program management, enterprise architecture, software development, infrastructure support, and incident response coordination.  Promoting an atmosphere of collaboration and cooperation with other enterprise IT programs.  Responsible for advising senior executive staff on schedule, risks, costs and operational status of the Sentinel program. Immediately instilled confidence in FBI leadership during and after transition of the program

Directly responsible for the oversight of a $50+ million contract, including the direct supervision of personnel involved in windows and Linux administration support, network infrastructure, software design and development, testing, helpdesk support, training, and program management. Promoted to Director within Sotera Defense Solutions, after demonstrating significant Program Management acumen and ability to work a complex and dynamic program for the client.  Coordinated all program activities for operational and back office personnel on a daily basis.  Engaged with management team and promoted an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork.  Worked extensively with government PM and COR to ensure effective execution of the Program and was frequently commended for personal and team performance.  A domain expert who worked readily both internally to division, and maintained strong relationships with external partners to maximize the success of the program.  Responsible for profit and loss for the program, and operated with significant organizational discretion.  Program successfully delivered mission capabilities on-time, on-budget, and on-task due to leadership skills.

Rose through operations, software and leadership roles to become responsible for the creation of new enterprise based applications for a large government agency. Additionally responsible for coordinating and representing the organization’s IT responses with external stakeholders.  Provided high level briefings and educated organizational leaders on project status, risks, schedule, and costs.  Responsible for hiring IT personnel as well as managing the daily activities of the projects IT capabilities.  Provided expert advice and resources to the client when coordinating technology driven meetings.  Operated with significant latitude, and demonstrated proven leadership and technical skill sets to maximize the success of the project. Responsible for selecting and implementing new hardware and software architectures as well as the design of new enterprise architecture capabilities utilizing VMWare virtualization technologies, Microsoft .Net, and integration of COTS solutions.  Contributed significantly to the development team efforts and ensure that code baselines met operational needs on-time and to the requirements.

Lead team of eight software quality assurance engineers for government agency

Quickly transitioned from a software engineer responsible for development and testing tasks for the Terrorist Screening Center Database to team lead role directly managing a team of eight system testers, with varying degrees of experience.  Responsible for software testing at the system level including smoke, stress and user acceptance testing.  Managed the testing efforts of 23 deployable systems to production environments. Created and distributed test reports, performed defect analysis, and coordinated test cycles used to determine software maturity.  Worked closely with software development team leads as well as project managers to ensure requirements were met and customer needs satisfied.  Played critical role in Sotera Intelligence Solutions obtaining their CMMI level 2 accreditation and was directly responsible for the Product and Process Quality Assurance (PPQA) tasks necessary for this accreditation.

Software engineer responsible for development of COMDAC-INS the premier navigational software of the US Coast Guard.  Ensured maritime safety for all US Coast Guard Cutters and provided support to US Navy vessels that utilized COMDAC INS.  Software development expertise coupled with problem solving capabilities led to numerous systems improvements to include a route monitoring and alerting capability to provide early warning capabilities for collision avoidance and situational awareness.  Significantly improved the nautical chart preparation process cutting the time to load and prepare nautical charts for electronic navigation by over 50%.  Utilized skills with C/C++, Motif, Solaris 8, and DIICOE.  Assisted in implementing a continuous build process for all C++ based tools to ensure a repeatable and mature configuration management process.
