Responsible for working with and leading a team of staff to ensure the efficient operation of the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex, striving to meet and exceed the expectations of customers and user groups.

As co-founder of this successful small business, I helped to build it up from the ground to be a well respected provider of social and recreational opportunities for adults in the Tri-Cities area.After five years invested in the company, I decided to divest my interest in the business in order to free up more time to develop my consulting operation.

Covering for part of a maternity leave, I was responsible for daily operations of the Youth Services section, and Youth Centre. Duties included recruiting, selecting, training, supervising and reviewing the performance of a variety of unionized employees. I was the staff liaison with the City's Youth Focus Committee, and reported to Management and Council.

Responsible for the operation of Summit Community Centre & Pinetree Community Centre Youth Programs. Duties included: Daily supervision of facility, staff and patrons. Recruiting, hiring, training and supervising program staff. Creating and promoting a variety of recreational programs to the community. Increasing attendance in programs and drop-ins..

Created and delivered a variety of recreational, social and cultural programs to the residents of Coquitlam.

Planning, marketing, and running all members, corporate, and public events. Facility supervisor when on duty, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction, and “Above and Beyond” service. Scheduling golf staff and volunteers, and providing human resources services for all departments. I was personally responsible for increasing tournament rounds by 45% in the 2000.
