Trained as an Experimental Social Psychologist, my role involves supporting the design of research studies/experiments: field, online (A/B test) and survey experiments. Additionally, I analyse data using several analytical techniques (basic - e.g., correlation, regression, t-tests, clusters - and advanced analysis - e.g., ANOVA, Hierarchical Models, factor analysis).I am currently coordinating the development and delivery of training on Behavioral Science, Research Methods and Data Analysis.

I am a Professor for advanced courses for graduate and undergraduate students. I teach data analysis, advanced research methods and quantitative methodology. Before, I taught statistics applied to psychology, and research projects. To teach, I have to summarize and simplify highly complex information to make it understandable for students, to give examples (from abstract concepts to concrete examples), to come up with exercises, in a fast-paced timeline.Part of my job as a Professor is also supervising students (20+) with their MSc projects: give them a project, help them to personalize it with their ideas, guide them through the research/discovery process, and provide critical feedback to their work at every stage of the process. I have had excellent feedback as a supervisor. This role helped me to develop skills of project management and leadership.As part of my job, I also consult executive education for data analysis. These are projects that I have to learn in a very short period of time, and help how to structure the databases, what are the best analyses to derive insight from data and to come to some conclusions.

As a Scientific Researcher, I worked on several different research projects on consumer behavior (four big projects), with funding attracted of approximately €550k. Funding/grant writing provided me the ability to work focused to meet deadlines, while reviewing a great amount of information and planning ahead for 2-3 years of work.Part of my job is to conduct research, currently on consumer behavior applied to different sectors (digital health and well being, advising on how to target social marketing messages, alternative food consumption, home cooking behavior). I plan and design studies, analyse data from different projects, provide insights based on data, write reports and scientific articles, present research to others, write grants and funding proposals. All of this work happens within a specific timeframe to meet milestones and finish each project on time. Final evaluations of the execution of these projects and their final outputs are mostly graded as excellent (A).One of the projects I co-coordinate is using data and research insights to product design: piloting a mobile app to promote better food choices.

The project promotes a wider application of behaviour insights (BI) in policies and programmes aimed at the extension of social security to workers in the informal economy through cost-effective strategies and tools.

In this consultancy job I worked as a moderator of a design lab course on human-centric design for social security services. My role involved teaching four sessions on how to design Behavioral Science experiments and to moderate all the spotlight sessions lectured by the invited speakers.

I attracted an independent grant (~€30k) to develop my research on the benefits of social touch to social integration of disadvantaged others. In this role, I designed studies, collected and analysed data, wrote scientific reports and articles, presented work to others, wrote funding proposals and mentored students. I was also invited to teach advanced workshops to PhD students on data analysis.

I was a PhD student in three universities: ISCTE-IUL (Lisbon), University of Blaise-Pascal (France) and University of Cambridge (UK), highly multicultural and multidisciplinary environments. As a PhD student, I attracted my own research funding (~€60k) to investigate benefits of positive social interactions between people, and positive emotions. I conducted studies, analysed data, wrote scientific reports and articles and presented my work to others.
