At Geek Squad I work exclusively with computers, both laptops and desktops. Some of the work I perform includes optimizing the operating system by manually removing rogue files and malicious group policies. I am responsible for replacing certain components on the unit if there are any failing parts like CPU and ram sticks. I am also a certified apple repair agent for IOS devices. This embarks troubleshooting iPhone and repairing them. My role at Geek Squad also includes consulting the client on the best hardware for their computer build and then building the computer once all the parts are acquired.

As a Teller at Lakeland Bank, I held the responsibility of opening and closing the branch. This included balancing my drawer at the beginning and at the end of the day, making sure my cash on hand equaled the register’s numbers. I was also in charge of checking the night drop vault every morning and correctly recording each transaction in the bank’s night drop folder. Any transactions that were left overnight would be processed through the computer and recorded as completed. Under dual control, I would check the ATMs and remove all the transactions that it took throughout the day. I would also restock any ATM that was low on funds. Balancing the main vault and receiving shipment was also a duty that I was required to fulfill. Aside from the mechanical functions of the bank, I held the responsibility of meeting my quarterly goal. I reached my goal by cross-selling our products and services to customers who I believed to be potential candidates and would benefit from the service or product.

As a Bank Associate, my responsibilities ranged from regular teller transactions to referring customers to certain products and services the bank offers. The position encouraged me to initiate conversations with customers in order to obtain a better understanding of services or products would best benefit our clients. Getting to know my customers on a first name basis and building personal relationships with them was an expectation I was expected to meet. At Provident Bank, I had a yearly and monthly goal that I was expected to meet through referrals. On a daily schedule, I was expected to call customers when the branch wasn’t busy or find referral opportunities by scrubbing through customer portfolios. I also had the responsibility of opening or closing the bank with a manager whenever scheduled. This included opening and securing the vault, checking the atm in the morning for any scrubbing device and processing night drops.

Over at Macy’s I was responsible for making sure our customers were finding everything they were looking for. One of the key roles I had was making sure their shopping experience was as pleasant as it could’ve been by offering all the help I could provide. I helped customers from the moment they walked into the store till the moment they checked out. I also rang up customers and was always expected to keep the lines moving. When I wasn’t helping customers, I would inspect the department making sure it was in a clean condition for them to shop in. This also included cleaning out fitting rooms so our merchandise wouldn’t overflow in the rooms. I was expected to know what merchandise and what brands we had in the store so I would be able to guide customers in the right direction. At Macy’s, I also had a sales and credit goal I would have to meet. At the end of the quarter, my sales and credit numbers was what my supervisor would use to evaluate me.
