Cory has been passionate about computers since he was a toddler. Prior to entering the world of IT, he had built his own computer and acted as a computer repair technician in his family home. He often demonstrates a calm demeanor under pressure and maintains a strong determination when problem solving.Cory started working as a Service Coordinator for J.C. Robinson in 2021. During this time, he interacted with customers and performed data entry duties. Cory's priority was to fulfill heavy demand for optimal and reliable service in a timely manner.In 2023, Cory decided to change his career path and enter the Computer Systems Technician - Networking program at Algonquin College. There, he fine-tuned his knowledge of the hardware of PC's and usage of the Windows 10 OS, and gained skills in both the networking and administration field. The skills he had learned include but are not limited to: ArchLinux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Active Directory, Wireshark, Cisco Packet Tracer, Python 3, TCP/IP Networking & Network Routing Protocols. For his Cooperative Education experience, Cory was hired to work as an IT Analyst for Transport Canada. Throughout his experience, he honed his skills in PC hardware, customer service, and Windows Administration. He worked as both a member of the hardware team and as a member of the IT help desk. After Cory's co-op experience ended, he returned to Algonquin College to finish his diploma. As a Dean's List student, Cory demonstrates a hunger for knowledge in the IT industry and is looking forward to growing his expertise.
