Worked as a Planner for Costain Ltd on a variety of successful tenders & projects, some of which are listed below;The NHS Treatment Centre at QMC £33m; A new Treatment Centre on the Queen’s Medical Centre site in Nottingham worth £33m.This was an NEC form of contract, which required monthly programme updates. Based on site, I also produced forecasts and assessed the impact of delays and methods to mitigate delays. During this time I also produced the programme for a new build office block at Paragon Business Village, Wakefield.Dickens Heath, Solihull £28m; a mixed-use development of 212 units, comprising a combination of apartments, townhouses and retail outlets. I used 3D modelling (Sketch Up) to demonstrate the planned sequencing required to build the project, and found this a useful presentation tool. Costain won the tender but the client put the project on hold.Sheffield Children’s Hospital £10m; a mixture of New Build and Refurbishment. Another NEC form of contract, I was responsible for monitoring and updating progress and producing update programmes.Max Park, Corby £12m; 2 Spec units comprising 200,000 sq.ft warehouses with 10,000 sq.ft. offices. Planned the project through from tender stage and monitored to contract completion. The project finished on time.Greyfriars Road, Coventry £12m; 137 New Build apartments. Took over the monitoring and progress updating approx halfway through the contract and produced output forecasts based on site labour to aid management in ensuring subcontractors provided enough manpower to finish the project on time.
