About Carol Soppe
Carol Soppe is a Clinical Research Professional at UCSF at University of California, San Francisco. She possess expertise in clinical trials, biotechnology, clinical research, gcp, life sciences and 25 more skills. Colleagues describe her as "I will be forever thankful for Carol, at one of the darkest times in my life she was a light. She was right there with me in the fight in so many ways like sharing her vast knowledge in a non threatening and easy to understand way. I always knew I was getting the most up to date information as she was always on top of any new study or treatment. I don't know how I could have gotten through it without her and I can't recommend her enough", "Carol is simply amazing! We worked together on multiple projects at the Immune Tolerance Network, where she heads up the T1D operations team and I was the ITN T1DAL study protocol chair, as well as a member of the ITN Network Steering Committee. She joined the T1DAL team shortly after alefacept was pulled from the market for business reasons and three months before the last participant reached their Week 52 primary endpoint. Before I met her in person, I always pictured Carol as a gray haired woman. She’s wise beyond her years and presents herself as a seasoned professional in the way she takes control and leads our group teleconferences. In short order, Carol whipped the ITN T1DAL Study Management Team into shape and streamlined the data cleaning process making possible for the T1DAL study team to present our truly remarkable primary and secondary endpoint data at ADA 2013, FOCiS 2014, IDS 2015, and ADA 2015. This positioned the team for a publication of the Year 1 data in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology journal and a follow-up publication of the Year 2 data in The Journal of Clinical Investigation. Not only did Carol keep the SMT moving full steam ahead, she also kept the 14 T1DAL study sites inline. Amazingly, due entirely to her efforts of working closely with sites, the T1DAL study did not lose any study participants to follow-up between the Year 1 and Year 2 time points. Anyone who has worked in clinical research knows that this is quite a feat. I look forward to working with her on several other T1DAL related publications. If you’re presented with an opportunity to work with her grab it while you can. All I have to say is the ITN better continue to treat her well, otherwise I might tempt her to join industry.", and "I cannot say enough about Carol. The amount of expertise and acumen Carol provided during the time my mother was battling Stage IV Lung Cancer, was excellent. Her experience and "hands on" approach, left us with a feeling of security and trust in her service and care. Carol always provided us with the best opportunities in cancer treatement therapies by continously remaining abreast of studies, and treatment. I highly recommend Carol."
