I am currently a Senior Archaeologist with the Fairfax County Park Authority [Virginia].

Duties included oversight of all archeological research, fieldwork, laboratory, and report preparation. I served as senior archeologist and historian for archeological and historic research projects. I assisted with proposal writing, prepared historic contexts, performed spatial analyses of archeological assemblages, coordinated with local and state review.

Served as field director for two projects. The first was a Phase I archaeological survey of a proposed park in Baltimore County Maryland. The second was a Phase I/II survey/evaluation of a prehistoric quarry site on the Campus of the National Institutes of Health,; Duties also included site interpretation and writing portions of the report.

In fall of 1999, I inherited the Goose Creek Survey, a Phase I archeological investigation of a section of the Naval Air station, Patuxent River. Responsibilities included supervising the completion of fieldwork, supervising the completion of laboratory work in compliance with state and federal regulations, and completions of the technical report. Primary responsibilities at C.E.I. consisted of detailed analysis of federal collections, especially eighteenth through twentieth century glass and ceramics, and their preparation for curation and storage. Additional tasks included training junior employees in collections management procedures, field procedures, and historic artifact analysis.

While at Goodwin, I worked on several Phase I, II and III excavations; most work occurred in the Mid-Atlantic Region, particularly Maryland and Pennsylvania. Lab duties included floating soil samples from prehistoric burials, contribution to technical reports, and supervision and training of field crews.

During the summers of 1994 and 1995, I was employed by the National Park Service, Submerged Cultural Resources Unit to assist with underwater archaeological remote sensing and use of sophisticated remote sensing gear (magnetometer, sub-surface profiler, Roxanne), ground-truthed anomalies by using SCUBA gear, mapped historic shipwrecks and, piloted small.

During the first half of the summer of 1994, I was employed by the University of Maryland to assist with a Phase III excavation; The investigation included early eighteenth through late-nineteenth century components.
