Catherine is a strategist, activist, advocate, speaker, trainer and a host of two weekly television shows and a radio show on the Fairfax Public Access Channel. She is also the Mayor of Fairfax City, Virginia. She sits on the boards of several organizations focused on social justice issues and community support of those who are income vulnerable. She provides a variety of program support to a number of non-profits - local, statewide and nationally. Her passion is supporting women, and very specifically those running for elected office. Catherine launched Creative Read, Inc. in 2007. It is a solo consultancy initially designed to help professionals leverage “online marketing” to grow their businesses. Then “social media” rose to predominate the marketing landscape, shape shifting as “new media” and “digital media” and all shades of gray in between. Catherine’s clients have also expanded from individual professionals and small businesses to include larger companies, associations, non-profits, political organizations and candidates.Areas of Focus: Speaker, broadcast media host, facilitator and moderator, outreach strategist, and pro-bono consultant to non-profits.
