I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, with an expected graduation date of May 2026. With over six years of work experience in the poultry industry, I am a passionate and driven veterinary student who aims to enhance animal health and welfare, food safety, and environmental sustainability with practical yet effective solutions. My recent internship with Iowa State University focused on designing and implementing a field research trial in a commercial broiler hatchery and following the progress of the flocks through production. In my previous role as Facilities Coordinator at the Poultry Science Research Center at Texas A&M University, I managed the design and construction of various facility upgrades, coordinated feed milling operations, and assisted in developing and facilitating research trials. As Production Supervisor with Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. I gained valuable experience in production management, employee training, and interactions with third party auditors and government agencies.
