Area Manager for three family-owned Subway franchises in Zelienople, Cranberry Township, and Midland, Pennsylvania. Oversees daily operations and management of 30-40 staff members, including training and new technologies. Working to streamline current operations and expand to new and existing locations. Daily tasks include working with store managers to train and re-train staff, working directly with front line staff to increase productivity and effectiveness, customer service, and monitoring cash and inventory controls to decrease waste. Owner of vacation rental properties in the Western Panama province, near the Pacific Coast. We utilize this real estate for two purposes: (1) Short term vacation rentals and (2) to host ministry teams and provide pastoral respite for worldwide clergy members.

Local initiatives include partnerships with area not-for-profit and ministry organizations serving Beaver County communities.

Adjunct faculty member at Penn State's Beaver Campus instructing undergraduate geography courses, including physical geography and world climatology. Additionally, I've also taught a Civic Engagement course focusing on Food Systems and have been engaged in the Student Farm Project on campus, helping build four-season growing opportunities to provide food for on-campus dining, students, and to partners with community not-for-profits.

I work with numerous initiatives and collaborations within Summit County, including the Bridges Summit County Collaborative, utilizing the Bridges Out of Poverty framework to break cycles of generational poverty in our region. My area of focus looks at community health initiatives. I am interested in developing healthy communities through the strategic funding and collaboration of the biomedical, non-profit, and social service communities looking at holistic health and wellness including access to clean, safe neighborhoods, local foods, urban agriculture, and general wellness (especially of under served populations in Summit County). Assists both the Senior Director, Collective Impact and the Senior Vice President, Community Impact in addressing issues of education, health, income, and basic needs within Summit County. These duties include policy analysis, research, agency collaboration, grant writing, program development and other similar tasks. Specifically, I work with the Bridges Summit County Collaborative, a multi-agency collaboration using the "Bridges Out of Poverty" framework and model to both educate and guide our community in breaking cycles of generational poverty.Recent projects include enhanced programming for those in poverty to develop employment-related hard and soft skills, while connecting potential employers and employees through area skills and labor needs assessments. Our goal is to help those in poverty gain meaningful, self-sufficient, and sustainable employment through the building of resources.

I am the instructor for Geography of the United States and Canada, as well as I have taught Physical Geography and Physical Geography Laboratory in the past. This position includes developing a lecture series on topics such as soils, biogeography, hydrology, climate, and similar topics. Additionally, I created interactive critical thinking based learning tools to expound on course material and developed tests, quizzes, and other educational materials.

Working in collaboration with the National Park Service and the Conservancy For Cuyahoga Valley National Park, I examined climate change data for northeast Ohio and developed a series of interactive informal and formal education programs aligned with the Ohio Academic Core Standards to educate students and visitors on climate change impacts in the Cuyahoga Valley and sustainable/green strategies for both adapting to and mitigating climate change. Additionally, I served on the park's Green Team and reviewed their environmental management plans. With this work, I helped to further the park's mission of environmental sustainability and to become a "Climate Friendly Park."

Designed and implemented a new sports outreach program including youth/adult sports, outdoor recreation, scouting, and fitness activities. I coordinated and trained volunteers to serve in various aspects of the program and developed educational and skills curriculum for youth sports leagues.

I supervised, along with a team of 3 other interns, 125 college and high school students who staffed our day-camp outreach program during the summer. Additional duties include volunteer coordination, event programming, and education. During the school year, my duties shifted to a youth pastor for middle school students where I was involved with teaching, program development, and musical aspects of the student ministry program.
