Direct and administer the selection, implementation, and integration of technology systems that support more than 10,000 mobile computing devices for 1,300 staff members and 11,000 students throughout the school district. I supervise a 30 member technology team and an annual budget of $3.2 million in ensuring successful management of core business and mission critical systems. I also lead district the Safety and Security team in managing and ensuring the security of the district’s technology infrastructure, school campuses and offices, staff and students. I also: • Network with local, state, and federal agencies regarding technology implementation and use regulations, funding sources, and policies, including E-Rate funding through the Universal Service Fund. • Develop and manage internal applications that support multi-departmental business functions. • Negotiate cost saving contracts with multiple vendors, developing cooperative relationships that ensure sustained equipment and labor at reasonable prices. My accomplishments in this role include: • Developed and implemented new fiber wide area network that will deliver a 100% return on investment (ROI) in five years, $200k per year in reduced operating costs, and 20-30 years of improved service. • Reduced printing costs by more than 50% over two years. • Procured more than $4.7 million in federal funding for technology infrastructure at school and district levels. • Received 12th Annual Ben Lujan Maintenance Achievement Award for technology support in new construction projects in 2017.

I led my team of 30 technology staff members and managed IT department operations in this role. This included HR procedure administration, budget management, and technology planning. In collaboration with end users, I analyzed system needs and directed the design, build, and testing of new applications and major enhancements to existing infrastructure and software systems. I also managed all system and product solutions approvals prior to selection and implementation as well as updates to the Board of Education and top level organization stake holders on project progress. My achievements in this role include: • Identified, recommended, and developed new technologies and tools for enhancing educational processes and increasing productivity. • Increased student access to technology at elementary level by 500% over the course of five years. • Formed and led new District Safety and Security team in evaluating and improving all things security related, including the development of policies and procedures surrounding the safety of the district. • Fine-tuned existing and created new business process tools for staff, including a fine and fee tracking and emergency reporting system.

In this position, I oversaw the school district’s network, system and data integrity by developing and managing an 18 member technology team in providing preventative maintenance, monitoring, and executing upgrades. I evaluated issues for multiple operating systems to identify solutions, develop strategies, and implement resolutions to increase efficiency. I also produced and delivered network performance statistical reports of real-time and historical data measurements and ensured viability of on and off site firewall, network, and server through consistent monitoring. My achievements in this role include: • Conceived and implemented organization policies, technical procedures, and standards for preserving the integrity and security of data, reports, and access. • Developed internal staff applications and tools to increase efficiency, such as a technology inventory tracking system, a trip and transportation maintenance system that reduced transportation department costs by more than $10k per year and a help desk system application that reduced technology department costs by more than $23k per year. • Increased secondary student access to technology by 500% over the course of three years.

System Administrator• For this role, I managed the computer and networking system's performance, maintenance, and upgrades by consistently evaluating and researching function, school needs, and available technology products.Art Educator• I taught art classes when I first started with the school system, but technology was not far from mind. I engaged my students in using new technologies in their work by building and enhancing their computer and technology skills through demonstrations and practice tools.
