I'm an Emmy Award-winning journalist and media professional with more than a decade of experience in news operations at both the local and national levels. My strengths are story/show producing, storytelling, reporting and social media. I am a senior producer for CBS Mornings (formerly CBS This Morning) with Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil and Nate Burleson. Over the course of more than eight years with the broadcast, I've worked nearly every shift and become familiar with every operation. In my current role working on features, I help to greenlight, storyboard, edit and approve our feature scripts and special projects. I have extensive control room experience, guiding the anchors through every block of the broadcast. I've worked efficiently and effectively in breaking news situations as both a writer and a manager. And I've revamped our broadcast associate program, hiring and mentoring more than a dozen new entry-level employees who carry out pivotal tasks for the broadcast.My New York experience includes a stint as on-camera talent. I worked as a freelance anchor and reporter for News 12 Networks, serving the boroughs of Brooklyn and the Bronx. I was a one-man-band reporter and anchored live reports, both scheduled and breaking coverage.I also taught a course at Brooklyn College in television news and developed an original syllabus.For more than four years before New York City, I worked as an anchor and reporter at the CBS, ABC and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, Va. I managed reporters, developed content, produced three newscasts daily, and updated the websites and social media.I can shoot and edit video on multiple platforms.
