I'm a serial entrepreneur and angel employee with a passion for entrepreneurship and sales. In my career, I've started three companies; each one in a completely different and unique industry. All three required me to prospect, cold-call, get appointments, deliver in-person client presentations, and land new business. In all three cases, this was done at the pre-revenue stage of development and two of the three companies successfully landed a profitable client base. One of which - GEP - I was able to sell to a competitor for 3X profit margin. I've been an Angel Employee at Segment, Braintree Payments and WePay. All three were early stage in which I helped grow revenue to build the business valuation to the millions and billions of dollars. As a Business Development Executive, I was responsible for signing up customers to the online payments platform through cold calling and significant outbound activity. I successfully achieved my 2012 quote goal by 157%. Through 6 months worth of follow-up, I ended up landing one of the largest customers in 2012; which drove close to $1M in revenue in 3 short months. In November of 2012 I set the all time record for monthly revenue generated in the entire company, beating the previous record by ~50%. As a seasoned sales executive with leadership experience, I worked closely with management team to design processes and methods for scaling the outbound activity. Etl Guest Experience & SoftlinesTarget Oct 2010 - Jan 2012Minneapolis, Mn, UsExecutive Team Leader in charge of Guest Experience and Softlines for a store with $22M in annual sales. I managed a team of approximately 55 teams members and run this multi-million store on a weekly basis. Guest Experience spans from the moment a guest walks in the door to the moment they walk out. However, that role is primarily focused on the check-out experience. Softlines refers to all fashion and apparel items in the store; if it was on the carpet then the Softlines team owned it. I successfully drove our Guest Experience scores from #9 in the district to #1 and from #49 in the group to #3 in the group within 3 months. By the end of the year, our store location was #4 in the entire corporation for Guest Experience score; keep in mind there were over 1,750 store locations across the nation at that time. Achieving this level of success on the Guest Experience measurables significantly increased my annual bonus as well as my superiors. Additionally, I drove Redcard (credit card/debit card) conversion percentage to #1 in the group by years end at 1.75% (goal is 0.6%), trained and developed a Salesfloor Team Member who was promoted to a Salesfloor Team Leader and managed this $22M store on weekly Leader on Duty shifts to meet daily sales and payroll expectations. -

Which included conceiving and developing the website, marketing videos, and all related marketing materials from scratch. Today, this type of company would be considered an online marketplace. The company was fully funded by the partners and we returned our investment on April 9th, 2003.
