Often times the Digital Media team must lean heavily on personal knowledge of the customer’s day to day operations, the federal government, trusted news sources, and general current events in order to produce a quality report in a timely fashion.In addition to the daily report, the Digital Media team is also responsible for content management, maintaining both the customer’s public and internal web pages. This includes traditional web pages as well as social media accounts (such as Twitter and LinkedIn). Understanding how to maintain, edit, and operate these systems is critical to daily success. The team publishes digital copies of all customer reports and assists human resources by posting job vacancy announcements in order to attract new hires.The position also requires knowledge of all Microsoft Office software (primarily Word, Outlook, and Excel) and Adobe software (Acrobat and Photoshop). All equipment was maintained and functional allowing for uninterrupted communication between teams, squads, platoons, and the company. At no time did the Platoon have less than 100% communications effectiveness with at least one device.This position required a SECRET level clearance - held since joining the Army in 2011.Chosen by command to attend a three month Pashto language course put on by a Defense Language Institute satellite program at Fort Carson, CO in preparation for second deployment to Afghanistan.Deployed to Afghanistan's RC-South, February 2014-August 2014
