Compared the effectiveness of carrot and stick transportation policies via a systematic review and meta-analysis. Published at Lancet Planetary Health.- Project 2: Assessed the impact of introducing 15 new cycling lanes on cycling levels in Paris and Lyon, France using routinely collected cycle count data. Gained experience in using quasi-experimental methods including interrupted time series and difference-in-differences analyses. Designed a novel virtual audit tool to assess changes in built environment designs and effects on cycling levels. Published in International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity.- Project 3: Collaborated with a local city council and urban health organisations in London to evaluate the effects of street-level improvements on motorised and active travel behaviours in three neighbourhoods. Developed skills in managing relationships with and communicating complex research findings to diverse stakeholders.- Project 4: Researching the impact of the London Ultra Low Emission Zone on active travel levels of 3,000 children in a longitudinal parallel cohort study.
