As a head counselor for the academic year, I managed an elementary classroom after school. My responsibility was to ensure every student received the help they needed when completing homework, which covered all subject fields. I was also responsible in managing the behavior of the classroom along with setting rules that students were to follow while at the program. During recess I was to coordinate games and activities that were inclusive and engaging to all the students. As a head counselor of the summer program I had to over see and delegate tasks to all the junior counselors. I had to manage an attendance record, recreational activities and distribution of money for field trips and snacks. I managed parent communication, I had to ensure that all questions were answered and that every parent understood their child was in a safe, inclusive and fun environment.
