I've transitioned over a decade's worth of experience in the hospitality and service industry into a meaningful career in data-analytics that aligns with my strengths, passions, and values.I am a people-person. It is my love of people and culture that led me to study Sociology and Anthropology in College; my love of human diversity that led me to move to New York City after graduation; and my love of identity and expression that led me to my work in the hospitality and service industry.Despite being a people-person, my passion is for data and information--its collection, organization, analysis, and ultimate use for bettering the lives of people. I privilege data when I am telling stories to my friends, making spreadsheets for hobbies like travel and gardening, pouring over maps and charts for my favorite video games, or even telling customers the specials at my restaurant job. I am currently pursuing advanced training and education in quantitative analysis and data science in order to utilize this passion for data and information in my career.As I look to the future, I would like to derive more value from my work by using my strengths as a data-driven people-person to spread love and make the world a better place for all people.
