The Report Development group is responsible for creating and maintaining reports, scorecards, and dashboards for internal clients. We use the Microsoft platform including SSRS, SSIS, and have recently transitioned from QlikView to Power BI. Currently maintaining approximately 750 deliverables.As the Report Developer Lead I am responsible for mentoring and training a small team of report developers, steering the team towards a common technical vision, researching and implementing industry best practices and technologies, gleaming actionable insights and trends from data, and acting as liaison between technical and non-technical counterparts.I oversaw migration of our reporting platform from Microsoft SSRS 2008 R2 to SSRS 2016. Including: Development of communication plan, configuration of SSRS 2016 server, testing, migration of existing objects to new server, and administration of new environment.I implemented Power BI Premium for MarketStar. Including: installation of on premise data gateway, developing Power BI Reports, demonstrating capabilities to internal stakeholders, and training report development team.In addition to my Report Developer Lead role I’m also the backup DBA. These responsibilities include: maintaining data availability and security; creating new databases; performing backup and restores; maintaining/setup transactional replication with 2 distributors, 42 publications, and 92 subscriptions.
