After being almost solely career focused for my adult life, I took a break to spend time with my family, friends, and work on some hobbies/passions. I have enjoyed spending this time with my daughter and husband, traveling, and being able to visit distant family. Reviewed on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis the financials for 7 branches in multiple states. Assistant Controller-Special Projects (2013-Current)Oversee the short- and long-term completion of multiple accounting, finance, and operational projects for an 800 employee, $500 million yearly-revenue company. Daily duties include managing initiation, workflow, implementation and completion of simultaneous projects as directed by executive management. Projects to date have included complete overhaul and modernization of 16 companies’ chart of accounts, reporting processes, and monthly report creations.Accomplishments:* Integrated standard chart of accounts across 16+ companies * Consolidated reporting procedure within multiple departments across 16 companies Accounting Manager (June 2010 – 2013) Oversee daily operations of accounting department for multiple dealerships. Daily duties include bank reconciliations, schedule review, cash flow, supervision of departmental employees, and working with dealership staff to improve efficiencies and expenses. Complete all month end closing tasks including final balance sheet, MIS, financial statement and account reconciliations.Accomplishments:* Successfully over-saw team of 6, who consistently produced accurate and timely reporting, closing in 4 days consistently.* First accounting manager to take on the operations and reporting of 3 medium to large dealership operations.* Fostered an environment of training, success and improvement – my teams saw low turn-over, growth and promotions.

Responsible for overall procedural and managerial processes of multiple dealerships, including sales, service, and parts departments, human resource, and advertising for events and daily sales. Supervised accounting office, handled daily cash flow, prepared quarterly and annual financials, purchased new dealerships, and managed construction of new facilities.

Handled all accounting and operations associated with the production of three trade publications. Worked daily with customers, employees and outsourced operations. Handled all in house paperwork - proforma, taxes, payroll, sales reports, etc for owners.

Provided assistance to Finance Director and Managers. Created follow-up procedures for sales and service. Facilitated continuous improvement meetings with dealership employees, and worked with the general manager to establish job descriptions and work processes.
