• Designed several proof of concepts based on new technologies, such as Jakarta Ant 1.4, Tomcat 4.0, Jakarta Struts 1.0, JSP Tag Libraries, JUnit, and BEA Weblogic 6.1, using MVC2, UML, design patterns, J2EE design patterns, Oracle 8.0 and TogetherJ 5.5. • Led the architecture and design of an EJB based customer self-administration tool for Marketmile. The customer benefit was the ability to offload customer account administration to the customer while increasing usability. The development was based on J2EE technologies, such as JSP 1.1, EJB and XML.• Responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of an Administration Interface using JSP and EJB to connect and retrieve data from a customer database for a leading B2B Commerce for Life Sciences. The BEA Weblogic Application Server 4.51 was used as the container for the EJB on SUN Solaris, and the Front End was designed using JSP 1.0 and Websphere Studio 3.0.
• Led the migration of Microsoft Project (DNA architecture), to an open Web architecture based on EJB technology. Used UML and Rational Rose for the architecture and design. Used WebSphere 3.0, Visual Age for Java Enterprise 3.0 and Visual Studio 3.0. to do the implementation. Coached the local team to use UML, XML, Java, JSP, Java Servlets and EJBs.• Led technical design and development for an Internet home banking project, migrated a VB multimedia application to a Java applet. Designed the new application using UML and Rational Rose, VAJ, Java Beans and Swing.• Designed an Internet banking prototype. The middle-tier server architecture was based on servlets handling communications from the applet and RMI to communicate from the servlets to the various middle-tier components• Provided coaching, teaching and training. Successfully deployed a Java applet to access flight information for a major airline company using Java Beans, Swing, VisualAge for Java.
