Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of managers, engineers, and technologists on the development phase of the design and construction of the $5.5 billion Calgary Green Line LRT, which includes 18 kilometres of dual tracks, 13 stations, nine major bridge structures, an LRT maintenance storage facility, and new roadways, park-and-rides, and bus loops. Responsibilities include:- managing design consultants and progress; - reviewing compliance with technical performance requirements for road safety audits, traffic studies, and road and traffic signal designs; - developing transportation accommodation and access management strategies;- designing temporary traffic control and detour plans;- establishing work methods, processes, workflows and timelines;- managing and coordinating construction and traffic control activities; - identifying gaps, risks and mitigations, coordinating works; and,- preparing cost estimations, scope of work, and tender documents.

Worked with a team of engineers to conduct studies and to develop and implement mobility policies in alignment with The City Plan objectives.Responsibilities included:- conducting traffic, parking, and geospatial analyses;- identifying plan and policy gaps;- researching the latest transportation trends and practices; - compiling technical reports; - preparing presentations and short training sections; - responding to council and public inquiries; and, - reviewing design drawings and development plans, including Neighbourhood Structure Plans, Rezoning, and plan amendments.

Collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, land surveyors, engineering assistants, and planners to review development applications, including infills, transit-oriented, and brownfield developments, and develop new parking and transportation demand management policies to support city-wide transportation, affordability, and climate emergency objectives.Responsibilities included: - leading the rezoning and development permit processes; - developing parking policies; - supervising and guiding engineering assistants;- reviewing development applications and related studies; - identifying gaps and critical issues to be addressed; - building relationships and collaborating with interdisciplinary and cross-departmental stakeholders; - consolidating various stakeholders' inputs and reconciling conflicts; - balacing internal and external conflicting goals and interests; and, - providing professional judgements on strategies, designs, and development conditions.

Collaborated with a team of managers, engineers, planners, and technicians to complete transportation planning studies and review development applications, permits, and engineering studies/drawings to improve the City’s transportation network.Responsibilities included: - conducting multimodal traffic analyses;- performing traffic safety reviews; - planning the city's transportation infrastructure and multimodal networks; - developing transportation design and network concepts; - designing signs and pavement marking plans; - reviewing development applications and road permits; - compiling technical and council reports; - responding to council or public inquiries; and - preparing and executing public engagement activities.

Worked with a team of traffic signal timing engineers, technicians and field crew to improve signal operation, implement intelligent transportation systems (ITS), manage traffic flow, publish up-to-date traffic information, and provide timely and customer-focused services to the public to better utilize existing transportation corridors and assets as well as improve quality of life. Responsibilities included: - conducting traffic modelling and signal optimization;- designing signal timing plans and coordination;- programming signal controllers;- developing signal operation programs for special events and incidents; - monitoring traffic from the Transportation Management Centre (TMC) using ITS technologies; - conducting field investigation of signal operational issues; - troubleshooting signal malfunctions and deploying suitable resources for incidents; - responding to signal operation inquiries/complaints; and, - investigating safety incidents and developing safe work procedures.
