As Salam and Hi there! I’m 𝓢𝓲𝓽𝓲 𝓘𝓷𝓽𝓪𝓷, the eldest of 12 siblings, and my leadership journey began when I inherited the title 𝙆𝙖𝙠𝙖(big sister) at just 11 months old. Mom had Effty, and my world changed overnight. Sharing toys? A struggle. Sharing attention? Even harder! But over the years, I grew into the role, learning through negotiation, compromise, and the occasional toddler tantrum.The skills I developed as 𝙆𝙖𝙠𝙖 proved invaluable. In high school, I became class rep and student council member. In college, I was a student representative. Then came my corporate chapter: Senior HR/HR Lead in IT, where I was lovingly called 𝘖𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘢𝘮𝘢 (the “long-standing veteran”). Leading teams, managing systems, and solving problems came naturally after years of managing my brood.Years of balancing a large, boisterous family on a tight budget taught me:• Resourcefulness: Sharing is caring—sometimes after a heated debate• Leadership: Inclusivity, teamwork, and negotiation bring out the best in everyone• Empathy: Mastering the art of 𝑱𝒂𝒈𝒂 𝑯𝒂𝒕𝒊 —communicating in ways that inspire trust and cooperation.• One of my biggest lessons has been this: It’s more important to understand someone than to agree with them. And every action—especially in anger—has lasting impact. Learning this has shaped my personal and professional growth profoundly.Fast forward to today: Effty has her own child now, and I’ve added 𝙒𝙖𝙬𝙖 (eldest aunt) to my titles. Seeing my nephew Emman’s tiny face for the first time reminded me of what I’ve always known deep down: Love at first sight is real, and unconditional love exists. That same love binds me to my 11 siblings—Effty, Dijah, Zaim, Liilah, Kirin, Wafa, Haziq, Zirah, Nazif, Nabil, and Naufal.
