I am responsible for managing and coordinating the daily job functions of headend technicians, engineers, and the daily operations of assigned facilities. I regularly establish performance goals and monitor progress through coaching, mentoring, and career development. I assist in the planning and implementation of new product introductions. Interpret, maintain, and install network management systems. I lead assigned projects and ensure that they are finished on time and in adherence to the budget.I provide training and guidance to technical personnel, and assists field and headend technicians with technical problems. I will work with other departments regarding daily error reporting and database management. I submit regular reports to senior management and partner with senior management to prepare the department budget. I also manage all third-party integrations; works with product owners to assess integrations and perform the planning, design, and ongoing management of the lab.I actively research potential headend equipment purchases, review purchase requests and suggests changes to better meet operational and budgetary objectives. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

I have to demonstrate a working knowledge of new technology in regards to RF and large scale network devices in order to troubleshoot/repair and maintain a living growing network. I also assist in working with RF/network capacity management by ensuring that network traffic doesn't exceed thresholds. I work with other departments as necessary to repair, upgrade, and maintain the network. I am also responsible for working an on-call rotation in order to keep customer impacting issues at a minimum.

I gave support to subscribers by servicing and installing all products offered by Comcast; including digital cable, computer networking, internet, and phone systems. I had to demonstrate a working knowledge with new technology to assist in supporting these products/services. My schedule included working on-call in order to repair major outages and maintain the cable plant and reduce outage times.

I provided support to customers experiencing any kind of PC hardware and software issues. I would also design/build computer systems to be used for residential or commercial applications. Any kind of computer related consulting was given as needed. Frequently I worked on the sales floor directly with customers guiding them to purchase whatever they needed.
