While signed to Capitol Records The Push Stars released 4 albums, regularly toured the US and captured the opening slot for the 2004 Matchbox 20 North American Arena tour. The band has appeared on the late show with Craig Kilborn (CBS) and was the subject of a two-page feature article in Rolling Stone.Chris’ songs can be heard in successful Hollywood films including There's Something about Mary (Ben Stiller, Cameron Diaz), The Devil Wears Prada (Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway), Gun Shy (Sandra Bullock, Liam Neeson) Say It Isn't So (Sally Field, Heather Graham) and Some Kind of Beautiful (Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek). Chris is most known for writing 'This Time', the best selling song on the Grammy-nominated soundtrack for August Rush (Robin Williams, Jonathan Rhys Meyers). Chris' songs have been used in numerous TV shows including Malcolm in the Middle and All My Children. He wrote the theme song for The WB sitcom Pepper Dennis and even appeared on-camera with the show’s star Rebecca Romjin. It was Chris' song playing in the background as George Clooney made his exit from ER.In 2008, Chris was asked to write and perform an original song for the United Nations "International Day for the Eradication of Poverty” conference in NYC.For his songwriting collaborations with Great Big Sea, including the #1 song 'Sea of No Cares', Chris received three Canadian platinum and four Canadian gold records as well as 2 prestigious SOCAN awards.Multi-platinum artists Rob Thomas and Colin Hay contributed guest vocals on Chris’ CD release ‘Few and Far Between’ (2011).Chris has toured the US and UK supporting Colin Hay (2012 - 2014) and was honored to perform a duet with his songwriting idol John Prine at the Portsmouth Music Festival, Spring 2013.Chris' song ‘Avalanche' has over 13 million plays on Spotify.
