Chantale is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. Chantale is a graduate from the Barry University's Clinical Psychology Program (M.S). She gained clinical experience which included over 1,500 internship hours in individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, assessments, and treatment planning. Her internship focus involved counseling probation clients in a outpatient substance abuse program, adult and adolescent clients with co-occuring disorders, and early head start/ head start children with IEPS and IFSPS. Chantale has extensive work history working with childern and adolescents diagnosed with austim, and ADHD. She provided parenting training and life mangement skills to reduce barriers to treatment education progress for at-risk childern diagnosed with ADHD and various developmental disorders. She has provided evidence based treatment (i.e. CBT and DBT) to at risk populations. She also provided clinical care and support as a clinical assessor for women and childern who struggled with eating disorder behaviors. Additionally, Chantale gained research experience in evaluating and understanding risk factors and mental health outcomes in emerging adulthood. She completed a master’s thesis which investigated the predicative utility of perceived discrimination, traumatic life events, emotion regulation, and depressive symptoms in a diverse group of emerging adults. She presented at three conferences including local and national conferences inculding a poster presentation at the American Psychological Sciences Conference in 2016 in Chicago, IL. Through these projects and presentations, She gained experience in research data consolidation, teamwork, and organizational skills, critical thinking, presenting research, and skills in SPSS software.
