At Merck, I enjoyed managing projects that developed clear, compelling marketing communications to help people make important decisions about their health. We used data and focus groups to gain insights into what people needed for a healthier, happier life. Once we had built the marketing strategy and messages for our product, we would work with the execution teams to create print and television advertising.

I joined the Franklin Mint straight out of business school as part of their Executive Development Program. It was great exposure to a wide variety of roles including global product marketing, new product development, and strategic corporate projects. After completing the program, I managed a large print media budget for multiple products, balancing people, budget, and advertising constraints. My last role was manager of the men's collectibles product line, which involved product development, promotion, fulfillment, and budgeting.

As a consultant to the US Environmental Protection Agency, I led a multi-disciplinary team in developing and implementing a new program to train EPA scientists. I developed and vetted program content, created teaching materials, and promoted the event to scientists in the field.

For my first job out of college I worked as consultant to the US Environmental Protection Agency where I was involved with many different projects and teams. I worked with EPA scientists to create an oil spill response guide for local EPA offices. I estimated the number of US facilities potentially affected if the EPA considered "explosives" to be Extremely Hazardous Substances. These projects involved multi-disciplinary teams and clients.
