Participated on the team that developed the game engine used in the Gasp Games' Battle Spin project. My work and responsibilities on the team include:* Design and build an audio engine subsystem for better sound effect handling at the content, code and IDE levels.* Develop an engine extension for achievements and progression tracking. Using a flexible implementation allowed the game programmers to easily add a single line of code for each save point.* Develop a multiplayer game mode. Several subsystems were made to achieve a working prototype, such as a player session manager, network layer abstractions and synchronization mechanisms. * Hunt and fix most of the game bugs.

I was in charge of developing some extensions to the game engine used in the Battle Spin project as well as some of the features in the game.* Design and development of the leaderboards' MySQL-based database used within the game. Stress tests were performed and showed that 50000 requests could be served in parallel, fulfilling the estimated load goal.* Develop a network request handler thus providing an API for the game programmers which allowed them to update dynamic values and objects through the web.* UI programming and animation based on the creative director's designs.* Tutorial programming and development, taking a data driven approach which allows a flexible and codeless development of the tutorial steps.
