Throughout my college career I was passionate about educational equity and expanding access to high-quality education around the world. I majored in Sociology and Psychology: Early Childhood Education at Tulane University. This interdisciplinary approach gave me the tools I needed to become an educator and the passion to continue educating myself. I am currently pursuing my teaching certification at the Tulane Teacher Preparation and Certification Program while working as a teacher resident at Success @ Thurgood Marshall in New Orleans. This experience has already taught me so much about education and teaching, and I hope to continue learning more about the community to better work with them. In the future, I hope to work as a classroom teacher in primary schools. I hope to use the skills I learned through my college education and my residency to curate educational experiences in my classroom that are equitable and accessible to all students. I also want to continue my education through professional development experiences and further degrees in the education field.
