Primary focus was developing a function test station for varying models to increase flexibility. Using object oriented LabVIEW, I developed code to control linear motors through TRIOMotion, complete vision routines, interface with units under testing, and ensuring operator safety and consistency. Tasks also included mechanical design for test station fixtures. Secondary focus was developing and implementing RFID technology in product assembly and testing to reduce manual entries and errors in the electronic data collection system.Other projects included analyzing test station capacities and variances, designing one-off cooling fixtures, and standardizing a portion of packaging code across assembly lines.

Acquired fabrication knowledge with using advanced machines such as mills, lathes and Scotchman Ironworker as well as fabrication processes using MIG/TIG welding and CNC milling. Supervise students within the College of Engineering using all shops machines. Provided design and manufacturing advise when necessary. Manufactured parts to specifications and tolerances for classes offered at UW-Madison.

Working primarily with the plastic's team, I was responsible for finding and populating our database with missing information. Accompany team members to current and potential supplier's to discuss parts and evaluate production capabilities.Created an excel algorithm which will help with proactive tool replacement and budget forecasting. Parameters included current tool condition, shots used in past fiscal year, tool type and attributes, material and returned a range that the tool should be expected to be replaced.Skills that were enhanced included planning and pacing support for multiple larger projects as well as my understanding of the manufacturing process with regards to plastic molding and die casting.
