Over the last decade, I've engaged in diverse roles spanning membership development, performing arts, marketing, and production. Currently, I serve at the Electrical Generating Systems Association, developing corporate partnerships and leading networking events that significantly enhance member engagement.Last year, I expanded the clientele at ghog.ai, focusing on small businesses and trade associations. New to the technology sector, I succeeded in securing high-value clients, one of which even hired me (EGSA). Despite the rewards and success, I know my true calling will one day lie in the dynamic world of arts and entertainment.Some history of me… I love language and the power communication has to change our community and the world. When I was in college, I wanted to instill that love of reading and writing to others, so I became a teacher, only to realize I loved learning and organizing more than I loved teaching. So, I did what every person who realizes that school is not for them does - I went into showbiz.I planned, budgeted, organized, and staffed events, fundraisers, and special productions for major companies, venues, and artists including the North Carolina Museum of Art, Durham Performing Arts Center, Netflix, Apple, Hopscotch Music Festival, Sheryl Crow, Run The Jewels, and Jason Isbell. I put on a three-day mini-fest for Widespread Panic and a live-painting fundraiser for the NCMA.I worked as a Production Assistant on sets such as Rustin, Dopesick, and Raymond & Ray, with Chris Rock, Michael Keaton, and Ewan McGregor. On-location filming is quite literally a star-studded event. Production assistance is wrangling vendors, caterers, security, and transportation in a strictly scheduled, high-pressure, high-budget environment.I created and implemented effective marketing campaigns for museums, venues, and retailers as a content photographer, social media manager, and event marketer. One example is "OFFSTAGE", a social media campaign of small live performances that paired works of art from our museum's permanent collection with our amphitheater's visiting performers. Think "Tiny Desk" in a museum wing. It was a hit and increased both museum and amphitheater attendance. I appreciate all the amazing people, companies, and crews I have worked for in the past, and look forward to meeting and working with more amazing people in the future.
