Managed all aspects of the Rockies Division Natural Resources program providing environmental services for a portfolio of clients with $4M+ annual revenue. Built key client relationships with oversight of regulatory compliance, permitting, agency reporting, scheduling, budgeting, accounting, and creating deliverables. Advanced Natural Resource program through the development and implementation of a strategic plan including standard processes and procedures. Improvements and program development allowed for workflow efficiencies, client cost savings, staff transition planning, and career development opportunities. Expanded and managed midstream EHSR team providing environmental, health, safety, and regulatory needs for design, permitting, and construction of $300M+/yr Noble Midstream capital projects in DJ Basin. Up to 800 field vendors relied on team’s oversight for safety and environmental support. Developed programs, policies, and SOPs to efficiently ensure safety and provide environmental compliance support while reducing risk, cost, and liability. Delivered value by identifying emerging issues and focusing team’s efforts on avoiding issues rather than solving problems. With corporate Task Forces, created long-term sustainability strategy and tracked evolving state and federal environmental regulations. Conducted due diligence assessments, managed permitting, and enabled business growth. Managed contractor project scoping, scheduling, bid coordination, on-boarding, oversight, and daily project roles. Supported new development project teams to expand NBLX position in DJ Basin servicing a 17 rig program through organic growth and acquisitions.

Developed and managed a natural resources program addressing sensitive resource impact assessments, spatial and temporal mitigation measures, and regulatory permitting. Worked closely with Operations and Regulatory teams to develop and execute strategies allowing for new development, maintenance, and P&A in urban and rural areas of DJ Basin. Managed team of contractors and consultants on strict schedule and budget. Coordinated with county, state, and federal officials to ensure regulatory compliance.

As an Environmental Professional charged with achieving and maintaining environmental compliance, I managed and worked with cross-functional project teams to permit, develop, and operate locations while reducing operational cost and risk in accordance with environmental regulations. I supported company operations in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Michigan by providing technical expertise on a broad range of environmental disciplines including: environmental risk assessments, impact mitigation negotiation, MBTA/BGEPA/ESA/WOTUS surveys and reports, environmental regulations, agency consultation, environmental due diligence analyses, acquisition/divestiture activities, and regulatory audits. I worked closely with Permitting and Regulatory teams on projects to navigate complicated state and federal processes for permitting, constructing, and operating new and existing facilities. Negotiating numerous MOUs, WMPs, and CPODs with federal and state agencies ensured operational schedules were met with minimal environmental impacts or cost by creatively developing and applying BMPs to meet permit COAs. I responded to emergency incidents by providing technical expertise, regulatory guidance, and management of contractors. I also coordinated contractor surveys and permits for multiple surface resources such as wildlife, water, and vegetation. I drafted corporate and field level environmental compliance management systems including international, enterprise-wide documents with a variety of subject matter experts representing disparate groups in multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with IT and GIS teams, I also helped develop a data management system that provided environmental data and permit requirements through ACTS to development and operating teams. As a subject matter expert on internal audit teams I audited company assets for environmental compliance and identification of process improvements.

Managed biological teams on renewable energy generation and transmission projects throughout the Great Plains, Rocky Mountains, and Desert Southwest. Designed, implemented, and managed surveys for wildlife, habitat, Waters of the US, and threatened and endangered species. Consulted with federal and state agencies regarding regulations, permits, and best management practices. Assessed environmental impacts and wrote NEPA EA/EIS analyses. Conducted wetland delineations and obtained federal permits.

Developed, coordinated, and managed daily activities of a $250,000+/yr national training program for public health professionals. Successfully developed a sustainable and profitable business model annually providing up to 10 workshops each year in new locations around the country. Performed wildlife, vegetation, and habitat suitability surveys in Jefferson County Open Space parks. Conducted multi-agency controlled burns on public lands. Implemented forest management practices which simulated wildfire effects to increase ecosystem vigor and health.

Developed and conducted surveys of forest fire fuels in Pike and San Isabel National Forests to predict future wildfire potential and intensity. Drafted land management recommendations for the US Forest Service. Performed wetland delineations per USACE 1987 Manual guidelines.

Captured, relocated, and monitored colony of 400 black-tailed prairie dogs for a Colorado Front Range city. Installed prairie dog nest boxes across 20-acre public open-space relocation site. Conducted wildlife surveys for protected wildlife species ahead of construction of rural fiber optic cable project in Nebraska.

Actively monitored specific elk populations in back-country conditions with radio-telemetry equipment as part of a 5-year interagency research study on the effects of changing land-use policy and increased human disturbance on elk during calving season.
