- Managing the big national and regional cultural eventsDe Vereniging voor Belgisch-Turkse Vriendschap (Beltud) werd in 2010 opgericht met als doel de vriendschap en dialoog tussen de verschillende gemeenschappen in België te bevorderen. Beltud engageert zich ook om de relaties tussen de Belgische en Turkse gemeenschap te verdiepen en wendt hiervoor cultuur – in de brede zin van het woord – aan.Beltud organiseert een waaier aan activiteiten en evenementen die het aangaan van de interculturele dialoog vergemakkelijken en die de ontdekking van de Turkse cultuur alsook de promotie van het Belgisch cultureel erfgoed mogelijk maken. Beltud organiseert wekelijks activiteiten zoals interculturele ontmoetingen, vriendschapsbrunches, cursus Turks, cursus klassieke Turkse muziek en culinaire workshops, rondetafelgesprekken, sportieve manifestaties, tentoonstellingen en concerten en excursies in België en Turkije. Daarnaast is Beltud initiatiefnemer van jaarlijkse evenementen als de zang-,gedicht- en talentshow ‘Kleuren van België’, de Brusselse cultuurdagen, de cartoonwedstrijd en nog vele andere. De vereniging handelt vanuit de overtuiging dat haar activiteiten bijdragen aan het multicultureel samenleven en de sociale cohesie.De hoofdzetel van de vereniging is gevestigd in Brussel, daarnaast heeft Beltud lokale afdelingen in Vlaanderen (Oost-Vlaanderen, Antwerpen en Limburg) en Wallonië (Henegouwen).Beltud is lid van Fedactio, de Federatie van Actieve Verenigingen van België (www.fedactio.be).
