I built relationships with Cal alumni and friends of the community, and invested primarily in alumni-led startups.I helped build a portfolio of 20-30 companies spanning industry, stage and geography, co-investing alongside some of the best venture investors.

Secfi is a venture-backed FinTech company on a mission to help fellow startup employees manage their equity. We help employees and founders make better financial decisions from offer to IPO. I advised employees and partnered with late-stage startups including DoorDash, Palantir, Oscar, Affirm, Compass, Figure, and Stripe, investing capital from our dedicated $550 million fund. I also led new product development, conducting user interviews, developing research and navigating partnerships that led to early products for our personal finance offerings.

AllianceBernstein is a $500 billion investment management and investment research firm with a rich 50 year history managing money across all asset classes, specifically on behalf of clients only. In this role I co-led one of the largest San Francisco investment practices, managing $1b in client assets across venture capital, private equity, global public equity, fixed income, hedge fund and real estate investments.

I was an early innovator and developer on Bernstein’s most successful investment strategies, including the firm’s impact investment and alternative investment platforms. As the first Senior Managing Associate hire across our 500 person organization, I hired, trained and managed a team of five investment professionals dedicated to providing the best client experience possible. I also partnered with management on our nationwide recruiting and training efforts. I was also accepted into the firm’s “Advisor Training Program”, an ultra-competitive national training program (10% acceptance rate) that trains Associates to lead business development and investment efforts across the firm. I graduated at the top of my class.

Formed as a partnership between the Haas School of Business, the College of Engineering, and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, SkyDeck combines the consulting know-how of traditional accelerators with the vast resources of its research university. Since Fall 2017, SkyDeck has raised a $24MM venture fund and has helped cohort and alumni startups raise more than $900MM from investors.I was an advisor to two Fall 2019 Cohort startups in FinTech and Productivity. Each received seed funding after demo day.

Yardi Systems is a real estate FinTech company that works with the most sophisticated property managers and real estate investors. I sat on the Investment Management team. At Yardi, I consulted some of the world's largest financial services companies in implementing cloud driven SaaS solutions. I helped over 100 investment firms adopt new technology to mitigate risk, maximize asset value and drive better informed decisions.
