With over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience in the deep-tech and digital health sectors, I am passionate about transforming ideas into innovations that benefit the economy, society, culture, and environment. As the Director of DCU Invent, the commercialisation and technology transfer unit of Dublin City University, I lead a team of experts who support the university's research and education activities and facilitate the creation and growth of spinout companies and licensing opportunities.Previously, I co-founded and led Cumulus Neuroscience, a first-in-class remote-monitoring digital brain health biomarker platform that accelerates drug development for central nervous system disorders. I was also a co-founder of ATA Engineering, a multi-award-winning US engineering company that develops novel hardware and software solutions for complex engineering challenges across various industries. In addition, I work with early-stage and growth-stage startups and spinouts in the deep tech and digital health sectors as a strategic advisor, helping them identify and qualify market opportunities, develop product roadmaps, define go-to-market strategies, design their organisations, and secure funding.
