Contracted in a leadership and mentoring role for a small in-house team. Providing thought leadership and direction for several IT initiatives. Lead up the requirements gathering and vendor selection for a company-wide Digital Asset Management solution, including integrating with a variety of other systems. This includes hosting and running meetings and education sessions with stakeholders up to VP level.Interface directly with the business to assess issues and propose resolutions. The goal being to improve alignment and working relationships between the business and IT.Successfully led a project to improve the import and storage capacity for the internal Media team onto Hitachi Data Storage devices. They now have the ability to import and properly store the 40+TB of media they produce annually.

Worked with the Architecture team to establish the overall architecture of systems and environments.Established and maintained guidelines for the architectural approach and technology selection.Worked with Solutions team, business stakeholders, vendors and subject matter experts to design solutions that meet business needs within the established architectural vision.Served as technical liaison for IT Delivery teams – plugging knowledge gaps and providing direction that ensured projects delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with the architectural direction.Assisted with vendor identification and selection. Reviewed and contributed to RFx documents and responses. Responsible for the overall architecture of the various systems used by Royal LePage, and other real estate brands Brookfield operates. This involves the physical hardware design, networking, system and application design, security and identity management.Responsible for all connections and policies within the Identity Management system. The system supported internal users as well as the network of Realtors and Brokers throughout North America.Responsible for the workings of the pre-production environments – these are our staging and development environments that are duplicates of production running on VMWare Server virtual machines.Responsible for leading the operations team in ensuring the system availability for all the production systems. Includes developing and maintaining all the operations processes. This was a temporary assignment with the intent of developing the team and the processes required to support the operations of the Real Estate line of business and then handing off the operations role to a successor.

Providing senior level Novell support in a large LAN/WAN environment. I provided 2nd and 3rd level technical support for network software and client access across hundreds of servers. I supported the banks eDirectory tree, made recommendations on security, and audit tracking. I was also involved in testing new software products for use inside the bank. I ran an extensive lab environment providing both testing for new equipment and running duplicate systems for problem investigation and resolution.
