As Director of Design, Delivery and Change at Cancer Research UK I was responsible for technology strategy and transformation. It was a varied role, looking after a wide portfolio of work with an ongoing mission of digital change and modernisation. I was also lucky to be leading a hugely talented team of specialists from a whole range of disciplines.

I worked with clients and potential clients across to the public sector to look at challenges and solutions in a number of different areas; sustainable innovation, community participation and co-production, democratic engagement, systems thinking and digital transformation.

I had a fascinating and very rewarding 6 years as Deputy Chair of Governors and Chair of the business committee at PACA. Very proud to say that we achieved Good at our last OFSTED - down to the efforts of a hugely committed and talented teaching staff.

My role at Public-i meant I was responsible for the strategic vision and direction of the company as well as for communicating this internally and externally. I am very proud of what the team achieved while I was CEX - showing substantial growth and entering new markets such as health and policing. As lead consultant as well as CEX I was able to get directly involved in guiding our contribution to projects such as NHS Citizen, Networked Councillor and our work around digital leadership.

I joined the company in 2002 and was asked to join the board about 6 months later - while operations director I had, at various times, responsibility for most aspects of the business.

I was one of the founder directors of this start-up. Perhaps before our time we were working with not for profits to create online community projects and strategic support.

Prior to working on building learning systems and other things in the ISD group I was the Deputy Director on the FTMBA Programme
