This is an exciting role where no two days or even task are the same. Everyday has been a learning opportunity as someone who is new to the world of Public Accounting. I work with a small team within the support department at the firm to assist in a wide variety of different tasks based upon the season.- Monitored two different email inboxes that were request driven to help a team of 31 CPAs. These tasks range from calling tax authorities, to writing notice response, and from the preparation of tax forms to large scale filing requests- Took ownership of monitoring Sure Prep Tax Import software for the above mentioned team of CPAs. Ensured tax data was imported properly, and provided documentation to CPAs for their review- First point of contact for support inquiries for SurePrep and other Tax Software the firm used, worked in tandem with IT team and internal specialists on more in depth support tickets.- Processed and accurately disperse mail on a daily basis, assisted in the preparation and mailing of USPS certified mailing requests- Frontloading of Client Data to help prepare their tax filings- Assisted in Firm database management and client information directory management to ensure accuracy and dependability- Took initiative to assist in the day to day operations of other teams within the support department to be able to assist as was necessary- Contributed to creating a large catalogue of process documentation for many of the regular tasks my team encountered, assisted in the recording of Process Videos for more complex tasks as a resource for current and potential future team mates.
