They are at higher risk of becoming involved in criminal activity or addicted to drugs or alcohol, less likely to achieve academically and more likely to experience poor mental health in adulthood.The sports ambassador role is a Sports-based intervention (SBI) programme to help young people from difficult backgrounds get into sport. As a sports ambassador I ran free coaching sessions in communities where they did not have access to quality coaching or mentoring.
