My research involved using a combination of ArcGIS LULC data in conjunction with traditional population level data to determine at a neighborhood level which communities are at risk for an outbreak. This work would allow for communities to focus prevention efforts where they are needed most. It reduces the need for broad city and county-wide blanket initiatives, and would allow for funding and resources to be placed in the specific neighborhoods where they are needed the most, and will make the most impact.
