Packaging Designer
Current• Create product packaging print files and dielines• Communicate with vendors to develop packaging for new products and arrange packaging samples• Make packaging suggestions and mock ups• Update existing packaging and print files with changing needs• Manage product testing to ensure products and packaging and are compliant with national safety regulations. Organize and maintain annual testing reports and CPC forms to ensure all required documentation is up-to-date• Write product descriptions for use on website, listings, and packaging• Notify impacted teams of product packaging design status with relevant information including pictures, specifications and revisions• Assign GTINs, create SKUs and barcodes for new products• Update internal databases with packaging specifications• Label and manage incoming packaging samples. Record comments and project status in product development database and communicate changes and approvals with vendors• Maintain packaging files for North American and European markets• Work closely with warehouse and fulfillment team to address any logistical packaging issues and help remedy with the factories• Work closely with sales team to provide any necessary mock ups or samples for retailers and potential buyers• Gather information on industry standards and competitors pertaining to packaging• Design and facilitate orders for promotional marketing materials such as cards for online shipments, outreach/thank you cards for customer service team, stickers, gifts boxes, tissue paper, ribbon, etc.
