    Over the years i have held more positions than not at the Station That Serves Your Community. (Everything from bottle boy to PD... I'll let you guess which was mostly in title only.) The station has helped me grow my greatest strengths, which are in programming and production. Whether you love what the station is now, or long for what it once was, there is no denying that you can not tell the story of Long Island radio (and to an extent that of NYC radio) without including WGBB.

    In my time with (what was then) 'Long Island's Oldies' station i worked my way from a promotions intern at a small upstart radio company to a full time multi-department staffer at Barnstable Broadcasting. As a Programming Assistant i helped guide several aspects of station continuity and imaging.As a Board Operator i ran the board, oversaw automation operations and stayed awake all night.In the interest of not having 18 different work experiences listed for 5 different departments, later on i lent my Board Operating Talents to WMJC (then Country 94.3) as well.

    The first Radio Disney affiliate in the NYC Area was Long Island's WGSM. I had the honor of heading up local operations for the affiliate for the latter part of its time with the format. My ego requires that i state, for the record, that i did not kill Mickey. I had the dishonor of finding his head gift wrapped for me at the annual Christmas party.... To be slightly less mellow-dramatic (yet somehow still quite political) about it, the new (at the time) General Manager for the Barnstable group decided to take the station in a different direction.

    I did a bunch of different things for WBAB while they were under the same corporate umbrella as WGBB. Including various Programming related projects. Working as a Van Driver was the most memorable... If only because i can quote dates. That said, i handled similar Promotional duties for B-103, but Steve made my experience slightly more memorable because he trusted me with keys.Then again... Nothing beats almost tripping over small children in the B-103 Bee costume... I have to reconsider not talking about my promotions work for B-103.
