Tested and characterized new products in the field, wrote technical marketing literature, managed GETEK® product line and introduced IsolaTools controlled impedance modeling & PWB stack-up software.1) Introduced and managed all aspects of the IsolaTools Controlled Impedance Modeling Software project.2) Performed Product Management & Technical Service duties for the GETEK® product line.3) Championed and purchased Split-Post Dielectric Resonator measurement equipment for Polyclad, enabling Polyclad to measure the Dk and Df of laminates at high frequencies for the first time.4) Performed field testing and characterization of new products. 5) Worked with PWB Chemical suppliers to identify product interactions and identify solutions when needed.6) Wrote Technical Marketing literature, including the Field Processing Guidelines for all Isola products.7) Global technical advisor to OEM Marketing, Sales, Technical Service and Product Management personnel.8) Wrote UL Guide for adding Isola products to customer UL listing.9) Addressed IPC-1752, RoHS and REACH declaration issues and questions.

Performed field tests to identify issues, adjust resin formulations and establish process guidelines for new products. Developed GETEK® customer training programs and marketing literature. Transferred GETEK® intellectual property to Polyclad Laminates and trained personnel in 2004.1) Championed a $3Million resin consolidation cost reduction program, which permitted GE to continue selling epoxy FR-4 rigid and multilayer products for an additional 3 years by using lower cost resins.2) Performed all field testing for new materials. Worked extensively with PWB chemistry and process suppliers to identify all significant material and processing interactions. Documented performance gaps and recommended improvements for GETEK®, GETEK® II, FR-4, CEM-3 and CEM-1 products. 3) Wrote Technical Sales and OEM Market Development presentations for the GETEK® product. Wrote and taught training seminars for GE sales & marketing personnel, distributors and customers.4) Coordinated technical support activities at fabricators, assemblers & OEM’s on a Global basis.

Supervised installation & startup of all PWB manufacturing operations for this new $12M business.1) Supervised 15 employees in Engineering, Process Control & Waste Treatment functions.2) Liaison to the Ohio EPA. Secured UL Recognition for all Sovereign Circuits products.

Invented & patented this Selective Nickel Strip PWB manufacturing alternative to the SMOBC process. 2) Installed capital equipment exceeding $1,000,000 and was responsible for operational performance.3) Ongoing engineering responsibilities for the following PWB manufacturing operations: • Analytical Laboratory. • All innerlayer processing and fabrication. • Multilayer layup and lamination processes. • Smear removal, oxide processing and electroless copper deposition. • Electrolytic panel/pattern plating & finger plating. • Dry film resist lamination, exposure, development. • Stripping and etching processes. • Horizontal hot air solder leveling (HASL) • Dry Film solder masking processes.4) MBA Thesis – performed cost analysis and wrote a new cost/price model for PWB Operations. 86-page report generated and is available upon request.
