Most recent responsibilities – RETIRED DECEMBER 2008Director of Information Technology, AIS Shared Services supporting Tops Markets, Buffalo NY and Giant Food Stores, Ahold Financial Services and Ahold Tax, located in Carlisle PA. Reporting to me were five Managers that included – End User Computing (PC Support) – Carlisle and Buffalo; Distributed Systems (Server Support), Data and Voice Communications, and Computer Operations in Carlisle.I joined Giant Food Stores in January of 1998 as the Systems Manager of Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain and within 90 days assumed the additional responsibility of Computer Operations in Carlisle. I then joined AIS (Giant is owned by Ahold, a Dutch organization – AIS is the information technology division of Ahold) during the AIS/OpCo consolidation in 2000. When AIS Shared Services was announced in November of 2001, I was promoted to Director of Information Technology, the position I held at retirement. Following that promotion, my responsibilities increased to include Change Management, I.T. Security, and Production Management, Problem Management, PCI Compliance, internal business communications, In Store Personal Computer Support, and Inter/Intranet development and support. Following the implementation of an Out Sourcing agreement with EDS, I became the primary Information Technology business contact and interface for Carlisle and Buffalo installations.
